Apparently Western Oregon gophers are the Godzilla of gophers. We have a subspecies in the Willamette Valley called the Camas pocket gopher (Thomomys bulbivorus).
They run about 10" long and close to a pound in weight (about the size of a western ground squirrel that has been binging on pizza). More than twice as big as those little runts in California. These traps are not big enough for our gophers. The dimensions are not given on the website so I had no way of knowing how big they are.
The invoice says mole traps so maybe he sent me the wrong ones. I selected "Gopher Trap" from the website. Now I am stuck with trying to ship these back and try to get a refund.
These looked identical to traps provided by a trapper I hired to teach me to trap the pests. His traps are considerably larger, but I can't seem to to find a source for them.
